As human beings, we have all been impacted by sexual trauma. Some might read that sentence and understand exactly how they have been affected. Others might read that and say, “hold up, not me!”
Whether we have our own experience, care for someone who does, or are unsure, we live in a culture where shame, guilt and secret keeping may stop us from looking at or sharing our experiences where boundaries were crossed or violence was used.
This presentation will share information that supports our understanding of what is sexual trauma, how it can impact us emotionally, physically and spiritually as well as offer relationship and humanity based approaches to healing.
